Je vous adore.
Class, be seated.
Thought I'd make a little update.
So, I signed the lease for my flat, and after a couple of weeks finally got my furniture shifted up. Mum organised it all for me, of course. You didn't actually think I'd do the hard work, did you? Bah. So, my dear mother drove the 1,800 kilometers from Victoria to come and see me and to help with the moving into of my flat when the removalists arrived.
Hah. When they arrived.
We paid $1,200 AUD for the damn truck to backload my furniture and effects, and was organised to leave on the Sunday of last week.
Haha.
We got a call in the afternoon. 'Terribly sorry,' they said. 'Our guys need at least 24 hours off before they make a return trip. They should be there to load up tomorrow.' Fair enough, I thought. My old boss went to be a truckie, so I know how it is. No sweat. Tomorrow came. Tomorrow being the Monday. Phone call time! 'The truck will be there tomorrow,' they said. Ok, what the fuck? I thought. Oh well, don't sweat it. It's okay.
Fucking lazy morons didn't come until Wednesday morning. Needless to say, I was more than a little annoyed.
So when will they be here? I asked. 'Friday,' said the manager. 'Saturday at the latest.'
Sweet, says I.
Saturday rocks up, and I take the day off work so I can oversee the unloading of my things and to pay the drivers.
What happens? No truck. We ring the office - Again. 'The truck's on its' way to Brisbane from Toowoomba. It'll be there tomorrow.' I live a mere hour north of Toowoomba, whereas Brisbane is two and a half hours away. What the fuck.
Anyway. The truck finally arrived Sunday morning, along with two bad-tempered drivers.
Morons.
Oh well, I have my stuff, which I need to unpack and organise. I've got the essentials unpacked and set up though, so it's not too bad. The stupidly large HD TV, my Xbox with Guitar Hero, stereo, bed and computer. Though everything else is still in boxes. Haha.
Not really that much news, actually. Just my little rant about fuck-nut truck drivers, haha.
Simone and I are going on holiday to Victoria at the end of next month, which should be great fun. I'll get to see everyone down there again!
For the guys and girls living in Bairnsdale:
I fucking miss you people! D:
Oh, and in case no one's noticed, I've got a permanent internet connection sorted now, so I'm back to dA for good!
Alright, that's all for today.
Class, dismissed.
