Note: Raiien is designed to develop and grow throughout my RP experiences, making him gradually stronger, faster, more powerful, etc. In light of this you must never assume him to be the same if you encounter him in RP more than once.

Name:
   Raiien Fynolt (Ray-een Fee-nolt)

Age:
Raiien's exact age is currently lost to the ages, known only to the few who remember them.

Gender:
   Male

Height:
   6'5"

Weight:
   94kg -/- 141lbs

Race:
   Vampyre

Appearance:
Raiien is a tall man, with piercing, green, cat-like eyes. He often wears soft, black cloth trousers and a dark tunic, the symbol of the Templars emblazoned in gold silk on the left sleeve. Over this, he wears a black coat with a high collar that almost reaches his ears. An expensive looking silver longsword is sheathed at Raiien's left hip, fine silver details wrought across the hilt and scabbard. He has a single silver earring in the top of his right ear, and wears a small, metal pendant, which is oddly plain in comparison to the rest of Raiien's garb. His hair is dead straight, and colored deep purple. Whether this is natural or not, no one knows or remembers. It reaches to the nape of Raiien's neck.

Personality:
Despite his formal looking appearance, Raiien is an oddly cheerful man, if at times dark and moody. He is an extremely peaceful person after years of hardship, and is content to listen to the stories of others.

Background:
Raiien was a lieutenant of the Knights Templar when he was younger. He was a remarkable warrior, unmatched by many - even most in his Order. He excelled in magical warfare too, and few mages could match his magical ability, though he could not heal a cut to save his life. He revelled in this knowledge, the knowledge that he could literally play with his foes in fair combat. As a Templar, or maybe because of his status in the Order, he owned a familiar. A great black and tan German Shepherd, he named Valla.

Raiien was charged with a secret assignment once, and allowed to take only two men with him. He and his allies set out the next day, unknown to anyone. They arrived at their destination, and Raiien relayed their orders to the men, who had no clue why they were brought along. They were to kill a high ranking noble, and incite rebellion against the council at the same time. The men didn't know what to think - Should they do what they were commanded, or should they  flee and alert the authorities? They eventually agreed, pledging to end their service to the Order immediately afterwards. Raiien solemnly agreed with them, and so they continued into a small cave beneath the mansion of the noble marked for assassination.

The moon was full that night, and glowing brightly, not a single cloud marred the sky. Raiien and his men entered the mansion successfully, but they encountered something none of them had ever dreamed of. They had tripped an enchantment around the borders of the building, and before them, stood the most beautiful creature they had ever seen. They blinked, stunned, and were outside in the woods. The Nymph had them enthralled, and so she began to dance. She whirled through the clearing, singing to the wind, and Raiien suddenly began to feel dizzy. He looked both ways, and his allies were on the ground, eyes rolling their sockets - delirious in their madness. Eventually he himself succumbed to the music, to the fog around his mind. He forgot the Order and its' insignia, he forgot his talent on the battlefield. He forgot his family, his friends and allies. As far as Raiien knows, he could have wandered to Earth on a moonbeam.

When he awoke, he found himself in a woodland clearing, two men dead either side of him, and a huge dog sleeping next to him. He was puzzled then, for he could not remember himself, let alone the two dead men or the dog, which followed him everywhere. So, he came up with a name for himself, and named the dog Valla. He has no idea where he got the names from, though he likes them both, thinking they fit himself and the dog well. Raiien and his pet have lived by the names ever since. Few people recognize him, and even fewer knew who he was to begin with. Raiien has since become a traveller, and loves to listen to stories. He has rediscovered his magical abilities, purely because he accidentally insulted a mage in London, and can now practice rudementary magic such as lifting small objects and shaping weak materials.

Weaponry:
Raiien still wears a silver longsword belted on his back, though he has long since sold the shield that once adorned his right arm. He rarely unsheathes the blade, as he does not know how to wield it correctly anymore, though he keeps it simply because he hopes to learn one day. Besides, the silver sword looks quite expensive. The scabbard is adorned with a small version of the Templar cross, as is the hilt and crossguard of the longsword. Along the length of the scabbard is written is spidery gold script a phrase in latin, which Raiien can no longer read. In a small pouch at his left hip is kept a number of throwing darts, dipped in venom. To his frustration, Raiien is unable to throw these correctly - another token of his amnesia.

Extra Information / Overview:
Due to the Nymph's song, Raiien cannot even remember how to wield a sword efficiently. He has no idea what the insignia on his jacket is, though for some reason he tries to keep it hidden from view, perhaps out of dislike for the symbol, or shame.
Raiien owns a German Shepherd as a familiar, that he named Valla, and while Raiien doesn't remember anything, Valla does. The dog recognizes Templar symbols, members and any associated pets, though Raiien has no clue about this, thinking it normal, inquisitive canine behavior. Valla is quite large, even for a German Shepherd, measuring around four feet tall to the top of his head.
